ABOUT

Alyssa Bryant is a middle school art teacher and freelance graphic designer. With a background in Art Education (VCU, B.F.A. 2004), Alyssa perfected her skills in such programs as Illustrator and Photoshop by teaching both basic and advanced skills at the high school level for nine years.

Seeking a new challenge, Alyssa left teaching to become a part of the burgeoning Richmond foodie scene as the Marketing Manager for two highly successful restaurants, Station 2 (est. 2011) and Postbellum (est. 2013). Alyssa created and implemented the branding for these restaurants from the ground up. From menu layout to event posters, Alyssa’s style defined the atmosphere of two unique restaurants.

With her experience in branding, Alyssa has also designed logos and posters for Richmond Bartending Academy, Bar-Chef, Wild Wolf Brewing Co., and Legend Brewery. Her talents, however, are not limited to the food and beverage industry; Alyssa has also done impeccable design work for RockIt Sports, AACN (Richmond Chapter), and Hawkins Family Dentistry. Her work can be seen on websites, social media platforms, and billboards.

Yearning to reconnect with students. Alyssa accepted a job at Holston Middle school teaching art in East Tennessee in the fall of 2017. She loves her students and her related arts family.

Alyssa’s skills include incredible attention to detail, efficiency, and reliability. She is a passionate perfectionist who thrives on creativity and artistic expression. She has innovative ideas and understands the importance of strict deadlines.

Alyssa is loving life at 40, spending time with her amazing family; her husband, Justin; her daughter Rosalee, and her adorable rescue boxer, Gunner.
